If you want to backup your MiB64 installation (before formatting your hard drive for example) or move your MiB64 installation to another computer etc., you need to know where all your personal settings are stored.

All Support and Settings files are locacted in a sub-folder of the installatioin root folder:

\Config

These files are the following:

  • AzimersMiB64Audio.ini - AziAudio_MiB64 Configuration file
  • Icepir8LLE-config.ini - Icepir8sMiB64LLE Configuration file
  • Icepir8sRSP.ini - Icepir8sMiB64RSP Configuration file
  • NRage.ini - INRage_Legacy_Input Configuration file
  • MiB64.apps- IApplication Settings are stored in this Configuration file
  • MiB64.cdb - Cheat Database file
  • MiB64.rdi - Rom Database Information Configuration file
  • MiB64.rds - Rom Database Settings Configuration file

Changes to ROM Settings are saved in the ROM Database Settings (MiB64.rds) This applies to you if you have added any ROMs to the file or changed any entries for existing ROMs.

Any cheat codes you added are saved the Cheat Database (MiB64.cdb), so back that up aswell if you want to keep them.

You input configuration can be exported to a file (see you current input plugin configuration).

Don't forget to also backup:

  • any 3rd party plugins if your plugins folder is a subfolder of your MiB64 folder (as by default)
  • any save files if your Saves folder is a subfolder of your MiB64 folder (as by default).
  • any ROM files you may have put in your MiB64 folder
